Gill decals: yes or no?
While I'm waiting on my order to be finished, I can't help but think about the it ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME.
So anyway, I've been thinking about gill decals. I'm a little torn on whether or not to get some, probably because I can't decide what to get. My order: 2LT/RS IBM, White Rally Stripes, Sunroof, Body colored GFX Blackout style: http://www.ridergraphix.com/2010_Cam..._Blackout.html Accent style: http://www.ridergraphix.com/2010_Cam...Blackout2.html Opinions? I'm kinda leaning toward the white accents. I think they'd complete the stripes well, but white for the decals seems a little...off. Black seems more traditional.

I agree the fade decals look a lot better and provide that illusion as if there is a purpose for the gills. As a graphic designer I would recomend the fade decals and not an abrubt opposite color that would bring a little negative attention to you Cam.

I am going with defenderworx gill inserts in brushed aluminum - they also have in chrome or black - http://www.defenderworx.com/index.ph...d=28&Itemid=22
These will match the brushed fuel door I've bought from them and I am considering brushed bowties for the front and trunk as well.

If I walk up and see fake gills it would seem a little weak to me I'd rather leave them then try to fake real body parts

I like the "accent" style best.
The fade one and the solid one just don't look right to me. Your mileage may vary. - X

Like I said, I like the accent ones, BUT I can't decide between the two because: Gloss Black will match my other gloss black decals - the single hood stripe, the decklid blackout, the black bowties, etc. BUT Flat Black would have the "hole" thing down better. After all, a gap between body panels would not shine when it caught the light. In fact, it wouldn't catch the light at all. I'm almost leaning towards gloss black for the same reason I like the accent - it sets it off nicely without making it look like I was trying to make it look like real vents. - X

Tim at http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Addicted-Auto-Accessories emailed me that GM just approved the gill inserts from http://www.defenderworx.xom so as soon as they're on his site I will order.
