Is it difficult installing lt headers and exhaust ?

I just bought some stainless works long tube headers, cats and full exhaust from
Someone on the forum and can't wait to get it installed. only problem is I don't have experience installing anything besides my CAI and short shifter. I would take it to get it installed somewhere but wanna learn how to
Do it and also save some $$. So my question is do you guys suggest someone with no experience install it? I also have access to alot of tools and lifts so
That won't be a problem

It's pretty straight forward. If you have the tools and a lift, you're good!

I did mine on jackstands but you have to get it pretty high. Manufacturers instructions say 24 inches. I didn't have to go quite that high but maybe 22 inches. I stacked some 4x6 blocks under my jackstands so I didn't have to have them extended quite so much. Was much more stable.

+1 can easily be done on jack stands.

Header install

If you have access to a lift and air tools it is not difficult. My 15 year old son and I made it a "Father/Son Project" on our Camaro and had fun together. I would also suggest that you buy some locking bolts to mount the headers to the heads also need the socket to remove the o2 sensors.

It you can install a intake and short shifter, you can install headers! Pretty easy to do! Lots of room in the 5th gens!

If you were to type in header install and exhaust install, in the search this forum box, you'd get lots of hits. We also have a DIY section that has both of these in it. Just use the search box within that forum to find them.

Oh yea. Very easy! I did my cat back by myself with a floor jack and hand tools. The headers it helps to have an extra set of hands.

If you can't put headers on these cars you can't put headers on any car. Easiest platform to work on. I imagine if you post up in the Texas section and offer pizza and tasty beverages someone will come and help or at least hang out lol.
