Wheel/Tire mounting & balancing shop in CT

Anyone know of a trustworthy one in the central CT area? I had my ZL1 replica wheels installed this weekend, but the shop I took it to didn't do a good job. My car shakes at 65mph+ and to be honest, the way the weights were done just looks bad/wrong. I'm hoping for a good referral, not sure if I should take it to Firestone in Manchester CT or something else.

I know there's a town fair tire in east hartford, but from what I've heard, they do horrible jobs. Any and all advice would be welcomed.

Thanks!

I take my 20" wheels (powdercoated) to a shop in Middlebury called Middlebury Garage. Sean is the owner. He's excellent at what he does and I've never had a fingerprint on the wheels when I get them back. It's not that cheap but it's much easier than having to have the wheels repowdered. Jannetty also recommended Joes Tire shop in Waterbury. JRE does all my Bogarts but didn't want to chance wrecking the pc wheels. I never tried Joes because I know what a great job Sean does.

I know it's a little ride but he will be able to get them done. Do not take them to Town Fair. Just last week they told me that they weren' responsible for the wheel finish. Which is ridiculous but whatever. I have my rears going to Middlebury Garage tomorrow am.

Thanks for the input! I'll drive 30 mins out of my way to get my tires done right and clean. I'll give Sean a call tomorrow morning and see if he can get me in. Thanks again!

If you let him know that you have a drive I'm sure he will be able to accommodate you. I just leave my stuff this in the am and grab it at the end of the day.

When you call ask for Sean. They have a receptionist that answers the phone.

I was told that the shop was booked until Wednesday, but that was talking to the receptionist. I called Joes Tire Shop but the guy sounded like a ****. Not sure what I should do now.

Yeah Joe's tires is owned by an old guy and his son, they may seem a little gruff, but they generally do a good job. (The old guy kinda reminds me of the old man from Pawn Stars) They have really good prices on tires too.

I usually use Tony's on S. Main in Waterbury though, they do a good job and are generally good with pricing.

I'm sorry to hear that. I grabbed mine about an hr ago. Perfect with not a mark on them. There's a gd reason why they are so busy.
