Forget about the GT, if its a Coyote 5.0. Try your luck with the Civic.

It's an older model, I'm not stupid. And thank you! We all love camaros, how about we all get along!?!

Not the same! Like I wrote earlier, the V6 did not get the performance suspension (FE3 or FE4) like the SS models.

Even a stock Foxbody will give him a run for his money. If its modded forget about it in a straight line. Just hit the brakes b/c he wont be able to stop LOL

I dont understand this comment. All the replies I have seen given in this thread are fact given the information that was displayed. There is no way a stock v6 Camaro would beat a 5.0 mustang if what we assume he is talking about is a 2011+. The OP didn't ask if a supercharged v6 would compete

So you think he would lose against the 5.0 or not? Irrelevant post.

Seriously? All I see is the OP's question being answered honestly by all, including V8 owners. What to do expect us to do, stroke your insecurities and tell you the LFX will take out a GT? If that’s what you want to hear, then ok.

Kind of grouping everyone together aren't you? You're mad because people said a V8 is faster than a V6? Sounds like a case of little engine syndrome to me.

If that 5.0 is near stock, you should have the quicker car overall, but they are very light so it may be a bit quicker off the line assuming it runs good. On the road, your LFX should be the quicker car.

If it is modded, well then who knows.

i run my ss on the 1/4 mile strip and stock my best pull was around 13.2ish and the 5.0 i ran against was also a 2010 (i think) he was around low 13 as well. I came back and ran the 12.2 and stopmed every 5.0 there but not stock. Headers, intake and a tune and they are nothing to worry about but stock for stock, id say it comes down to driving

tires also depending on which trim you have. Also LSD is only present on the manual v6s. not autos which sucks....one wheel burnouts fail...

to be honest its actually alot more than that. Its why when some v6 owners ask how much it would cost to switch out their engine for a v8 they get tons of replies saying that it isnt worth it b/c of everything you would have to change out to handle the power increase. I loved my v6 dont get me wrong but i love my v8 even more. And the v6 can be made to be an animal. Check out gretchen...but there is no denying that the v8 is a better base platform to mod off of if you want high numbers
