L99 to LS3

It's probably Been asked before but how much would it cost to convert a L99 to a LS3? What is involved and is it worth it?

Why would you want to do that? Be easier to just do ls3 conversion if you don't want vvt

As far as parts and cost I paid close to 5 grand( thought it was less for some reason) for LS3 Conversion, head work, ported intake, ported Tb, Melling Oil Pump, CAI Black intake, heater line relocate, elite catch can, custom cam, dyno time, tune, 160 thermostat, belts, fluids, 25 % UDP, springs, and pushrods.

I forget the exact, but parts wise it's not too bad. I looked it up for kit at phasetek for $750. Now if your paying someone else to do it, it gets pricey. Most do many upgrades at same time.

ADM does tons of these

We do the entire job for $3995.00 installed(Includes r/r the engine and all fluids, gaskets, proper parts to do the job right) and average gains are 100 rwhp over stock(318-325rwhp).You must have accompaning mods(headers, intake, exhaust)

Ask around here and you will see we have many.

Add:Ported heads - $1000.00
Ported Intake - 250.00
Ported Throttlebody - $150

I thought the difference was the L99 had AFM and the LS3 did not. I was curious about removing the AFM system because i'm having tuning done on Friday & the AFM will be turned off. So if its turned off maybe it should be removed? What do you guys think?

no, i have had afm turned off for 12k miles and no problems, with a tune it is a beast, so if i were you i wouldn't worry about the conversion, unless there is some sort of horspower goal you are trying to achieve
