Ideas for a new clutch?

LS3 with 455RWHP, within the next month or so it should be around 500 RWHP. My stock cluth is on its last leg and I need to buy a new one. What are some thoughts? Im sure this has been asked, thanks.

Give the guys at Monster a call, they have a great line up of clutches. I would recommend the Level 3 for your car.
You can also give us a call, we are a Monster dealer and have machined flywheels for them in the past so we have some real good info on how a Monster clutch is made, the quality that goes into one and a few other interesting things one should know before buying a clutch.

Thanks
Chris

Although I can't give you any feedback right now, my car is at Livernois having the driveline upgraded. I decided to do the driveline first before adding HP. They are installing the Monster level 3 in my car along with 1400hp axles, and driveshaft from DSS, along with trailing arms and toe rods from Pfadt and the trans is being "massaged" by Liberty. Next year at this time I will be shooting for the 500 rwhp level. Once I get the car back and this snow is gone I'll give you a report on the clutch.

What they said. I'm around 465rwhp now and just finished putting this clutch in. A litttle more pedal effort, no NVH, consistent release, rebuildable, 17 lbs lighter than stock, and holds way more power than you are or will be pushing.

These are some major price differences. A clutch is always going to wear out, it's just a mattrer of use & time. If you don't mind replacing your clutch every 25,000 miles and you have between 600 - 800 HP what would you recommend? Thanks!

Monster Clutches Kit = $700
SLP ZR1 Twin Disc Clutch Kit = $1,600
Camaro Street Slayer Twin Carbon Clutch Kit = $2,100

We have the StreetSlayer twin starting for less than the zr1 price you have posted,a single disc clutch is a lot cheaper,we have those starting alot less than the single you have listed. If we can help you out please give us a call.

All those kits come with a performance flywheel as wheel. What better performance characteristics do the twin disc clutch offer? Thanks

The StreetSlayer twins come 100% ready to go with custom flywheel that is lined with friction material .The twin is alot easier on your hydrolic system,it doesnt use a higher clamp load like a single disc so it doesnt tax your stock system. The twin has a full disc so its supper smooth ,a single disc would need to go to a puc style to try and hold the weight and power of the camaro, the puc is more of a on/off feel that could chatter and will not drive as smooth. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call,if you decide on a StreetSlayer you have the piece of mind that we will buy it back if your not thrilled with it.

I have the Lingenfelter MAX-CX Clutch. It is 20% stronger than the ZR-1 Clutch. Here is a link to the Lingenfelter Drivetrain Options:

I got mine from Andy @ ADM Performance... Andy is AWESOME !!

Wise decision.
I've done the exhaust, but I'm concerned about DRs and making some passes at the strip. The driveline will get beefed up before the cam goes in.

Thanks Bill, for showing all the non-believers a 331" small block Chevy powered car could outrun a 426 Hemi powered car. Thanks for the tube chassis, the splay valve small block cylinder heads, the strut front suspension, and the dry sump oiling system. I applaud your becoming the once king of the NA motors builders. Most of all, thanks for the racing memories and inspiring many young guys to follow in your footsteps.
