Lt fit, which have the least problems?

Hello all, I'm rather new to the forum. But have had plenty of gen 4 camaros & firebirds. I just picked up a gen 5 ss and love it. I'm in the market for a set of Lt headers and I have been reading a few posts on fitting problems with certain brands (rubbing, squeeking, ect).

Which brand of Lt. Have the least problems in this area and the best gains performance wise? I have the upgraded quad exhaust and would like the headers to connect with the stock exhaust connection, I want high flow cats as well. I would like to stay around 1200.00. The car is a m6 ls3 fyi. Thanks in advance.

My ARH took two of us 45 minutes to install (used a lift). Fit perfectly. One small adjustment for a rattle after driving it for a day and no problems since. ARH are excellent quality and fitment!

Kooks, with their type of hook up to the exhaust it gets the least leaks IMHO.

These brands will probably be the best as being the least likely to have fitment issues.
The next tier down would be Texas Speed or Stainless Power made my Stainless Works. These are also very popular and you seldom hear negative comments on them.
But it's always possible to get that 1 set that has an issue. Depends on if you want to have the best chance or just a good chance that you will not have any issues.
If price is not a factor, stay with the top 3 brands.

Honestly if a mfg screws up header fitment for this car then they have some really poor quality control. This car just has tons of room for LT headers. Not like the 4th gen where even some of the high end brands need extra work to fit. With almost all the headers on the market for this car you probably wont have a fitment issue. That being said I would still recommend Kooks, ARH, and Stainless Works mainly for the quality of the actual materials, customer service, and all materials and labor built here in USA. Call Maryland Speed for a great deal on Kooks. They can definitly get you some LT's with cat connection pipes that hook up to your stock exhaust for around or under your budget.

Thanks a lot everyone, it would seem that Kooks are the recommended brand by most here. I am sure that is for a good reason, Kooks it is then. Ill post some pics when I start the install, but I do seem to be have some trouble downloading pics in my garage? Anyone have a similar problem? I have tried about 10 time to no avail.

Don't forget the TSP long tubes. We aggressively price them, but the quality is second to none. I'll put them side by side with any brand available. Just compare them finish, collector design, hp, etc.
