Drain tube theories...

OK everyone, after several top replacements, I just had my 1st water leak. Service advisor told me the rear window going down is what moved/disconnected the drain tube. It's been reconnected & repositioned, but he said that "vibrations" may cause it to reposition in the future, allowing the window to disconnect the tube again. My questions are:

-Does driving with the top down & no tonneau cover on cause the wind to channel into the drain bag & rattle things around, in turn causing the drain tube to move to where the rear window may disconnect it?

- does regular body vibration cause it to reposition?

- How are the tubes held in place?

Any opinions / theories are welcome...

Does anyone have a diagram of the drainage bag/tube system?

Interesting. I'll check mine today and see if any ideas come to mind. I'm assuming you have the latest versions of top and water bag (six drain version).

I've been told that I do...I have never been able to look at it while it's apart. Last top replacement was about 3 months ago, so I would guess it's the new one.

take pics of the steps you take to inspect those things please...

Here's a link to my water bag replacement pics. Place close attention to the first group of pics showing the differences between old and new and then on post #31 I show the two new drain line routes in the trunk. Ignore the posts from another user where their ignorant dealership installed them through the trunk carpet
