Need some help guys!
Well I installed arh headers paired up with the borla s type axleback, and so far I love it, it's sounds amazing at WOT and when I'm cruising, the only thing is I want it to be a little louder. Right now I have a x pipe from magnaflow and was thinking about getting my muffler guy to make me a custom h pipe, but don't know if that will do anything, and I'm still with my 2.5" piping, if I switched to 3" would it make it louder? Just wanted some insight as to what I could do?
Thanks again.

I'm assuming those 1-7/8 headers are long tubes and since you are in Cali they're not legal for street use. I guess you have a plan for emmisions testing, so you might as well go all the way...catless, resonator delete and x-pipe, 2-1/2" will be plenty loud or go 3" for some extra decibels =D

Thanks for the fast replies! I was thinking about getting the cutouts,I feel like that would be the best alternative, and I know that going catless would make it louder but don't know if I want to do that lol. I already have a 2.5" tru x and resonator deleted also.

If you already have deleted your resonators and have an X-pipe, I would go with the cut outs as well. A 3" system won't really increase volume as much as it will change (deepen) the tone.

Do you have HF cats? They will help, but I would delete them all together or it may get too raspy. Obviously you cant get rid of the axleback, 3" piping wouldnt really make it louder, just change the tone. If you already have LT headers, cutouts sound like what you need to get volume, and you can decide when you want to be loud. ![]() |

Cutouts are expensive and only part-time. Why not just ditch the mufflers? You increase volume and dramatically decrease weight at the same time.
