E85 fuel is the equivlant to gasoline with a ~103-105 Octane rating.

If I remember right, good ol' Scott told us "You haven't seen anything yet!"

The Camaro concept has been the most successful concept car in my existance. It is going to prove to be a substantially profitable vehicle for GM. In 1969, the ZL1 (as limited as it was) was faster then the Corvette. Did sales fall for the Vette because of it. Nay. What would be the outcome if the General placed an EQUIVALENT power plant in the Camaro. It's still going to be heavier, cheaper (it better be) and in a completely different "class" then the Vette. No toes to step on from where I see it. If you ask me, I say Chevy has another car coming that COULD be compared to cars that cost 3 and 4 times as much. GO FOR IT!

exactly

however...the only vette the mighty zl1 couldnt beat was the other mighty... zl1 corvette

...however only 2 were made so it was safe to say the zl1 camaro was faster

Curious have any mags tested the Challenger SRT8 for official performance times yet??

Also anyone know its weight?

The srt-8 weighs in at 4140 pounds. 0-60 times are around 5.2 or 5.3 even though Dodge said the got 4.9.
And a quarter-mile run of 13.6 seconds at 105.8 mph.

I agree. I read the article again to see if there was a big difference between what was said in it a few months ago and the specs that were recently released... and there wasn't. Add the fact that we know the power in the LS3 is underated and the 0-60 time and stopping distances we were quoted are expected to change for the better... it seems to be a close contest with a clear winner. Now when Dodge pops in that 6-speed it'll be more interesting, but even with underrated power in the Camaro the power/weight ratio still kicks the Challenger's ass.
