Best Flowing Exhaust Manifolds for LS3?

What are the best flowing factory exhaust manifolds? Are the ZL1 manifolds better than the SS? This is probally a dumb question to some or all because headers are king and I completely agree on that. But it would interesting to know for some who want that stock appearing look.

Good question, ive often wondered this myself.

I have a feeling that the upcoming 2014+ Z28 with the LS7 will have the "best" factory flowing exhaust manifolds.

The LS7 would probably be your best bet but the flange is different and it wouldn't fit an LS3. I dig the stealth idea but the gains would be pretty minimal anyway. If you want stealth add headers and keep your stock mufflers......and then add nitrous.

Oh yes this is the way to go. Add in a K&N Hot Air Intake with a K&N NOTSO Super Charger w/ 25" pulley, and you'll be the king of stealth.

You could look at the new holley cast units. Not really worth the price to purchase but they'd probably flow marginally better than stock and are close to stock appearance.

Would ZL1 manifolds be a direct swap on a LS3?

Like some one else said, if you want stealth get LT headers with high flow cats and a quiet cat back. I'm not kidding when I say that my LT headers with high flow cats and Magnaflow street cat back was no louder than a stock LS3 exhaust at idle. Sure it was noticeably louder with enough throttle but at idle no one would think its not stock.

I know that manifolds dont hold a candle to headers. I wasnt asking that. I was asking what the best flowing factory manifold was. Back in the 4th gen days the best mani came on the LS6 that came in the C5Z06s. Some people (not all) like making the most power out of OEM parts on there cars so this could be an alternitive to spending bookoo bucks on headers and you can find manifolds on the cheap.

I get what you are asking.....

Extrude honing(Abrasive Flow Machining)is a good way to improve the flow of any Cast Iron manifolds.
Sometimes significant results could be had.

We used to do this back in the day before a lot of guys here could even drive....
Here is an example of a company that performs this service.

Nothing is going to make a difference behind BOTH sets of OEM low flow cats.
