is there a part number for SS 1LE hood wrap?

Dealer is fixing my hood wrap under warranty but they cant find the part number to order it. They said theyve got an awesome vinyl guy that can do it but I want the same that came on car if possible. If anyone has the part number or brand they use to warranty these I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't imagine there would be a part number since GM doesn't do it.It is sent out from the factory to get put on. You will be fine having anyone that can do a wrap/vinyl(providing they are good)putting it back on.

Had damages on it when I purchased the car, a bunch of scratches and marks that will not come out

It tells the dealer to call a 1800 Number. It goes to 3M, and you have to battle with 3M for about 2 months....I definitely don't wanna go through that process again(for a customer...not me). The only reason we warrantied it is because it had discoloration from day 1 when he bought it and we documented it. After that....there's no way to tell if someone spilled something on it or what was put on the wrap....so I highly doubt there would be any warranty after you drive it off the lot.

Yes it's 3M 1080 series vinyl. For those who need to replace outside of warranty it's about $60 for a 5x5 sheet.

It took about 2 weeks to get GM/3M to approve to change the vinyl even though it was scratched and documented before purchase stating the dealership would replace for free.

The reason it took a that long for me though is because my vinyl started to bubble around the heat extractor, that's why GM wanted pictures. From start to finish it took my dealership 4-5 weeks to get it done, lets just say my car isn't going back there lol.

Yes - mine had a tag or note attached somewhere to contact 3M with warranty issues for the hood wrap along with a contact number. I just went out and looked through all of my paperwork and I can't find it anywhere now... the dealer must have kept it.

5ft x 6 ft for 68 bucks...

OR you could pay 219.00 list price from GM. Not.

My dealer has assured me 2 year coverage on the wrap. Parts and labor.

I found the hood wrap here. http://www.chevroletgraphics.com/camaro.php?type=coupe

Select 'choose graphic' and then you can wrap the hood. Might be something you can show the dealer.

To be honest, unless the dealer is replacing it for free, it's cheaper and less of a hassle to get it done yourself at a vinyl place.

I am hugely disappointed in the durability, or lack of, on the wrap. Less than a year and have three tears in it. Then my dear husband, bless him, spent four hours waxing the car recently and thought, "hey, why not wax the wrap too while I'm on a roll!".... Needless to say, that did not end well. Really appreciate the info! LOVE the look so will order some fresh (unwaxed, tear free) and find someone to put it on!
