Drag racing? That takes place on a dragstrip....I think this was "street racing". There is a difference but the press & some LEO departments don't differentiate.

Webster list it as an acceleration contest between two vehicles between two fix points.

That could happen on the strip or the street.

Either way, it's illegal on the street so it's best to keep it at the track.

I love how rich ball players think they are above the law. I hope he gets the worst he can for that crime. I'm sure he won't though.

It's not the socioeconomic status of the individual that's in play so much but more or less the individuals natural personality and lack of self restraint of having or not seeing any fear. Adrenaline rush junkies come to mind.

At least he raced from a dig. Roll racing is for (insert other name for small domestic American short haired house cat; synonym for female body part).

Seriously though, why is it that pro sports players have to act like idots all the time?

Young men who are treated like demi-gods and have loads of cash, the real question is how they manage to survive long enough to grow up.

Why not just stop when the other car did?

He should have been in Philly for his teams OTA's even if he's not recovered he needs to learn the new playbook.

Well at 11m a year he has the money to buy his way out.

Alot of them are just young d-bags that all of a sudden have the world kissing their ass but they're still nothing more than d-bags.

Street or strip, either way, but this dumba** has too much money to be in dumb situations like this. It kills me, league minimum like a quarter mil a year, yeah, anyone in the NFL can afford to go to track days if you want to drive fast.

why is everyone so harsh on him about the fact that he was street racing, all this about how he can afford to rent a track etc etc.....

rich people are people just like we are, there are plenty of people who when they come to a stop light either do the challenging or are challenged, and make the poor decision to accept and race the car next to them......

has nothing to do with money or position, and everything to do with poor judgement.

Now if it turns out that they knew each other and were sitting around and watching Fast and Furious, and decided they were going to drive down to the local stop light and race each other, then ya, I can see the argument that he could of rented a track.

Not saying he wasn't a DA, but I've had some DA moments in my life, doesn't mean I'm stupid, just made some stupid spur of the moment decisions.....

Some will never learn! Evan Rodrigez here in Chicago recently released by Bears for getting a DUI, out in night clubs 2 days later & a few days after that gets arrested again! I think the Dolphins just picked him up, they'll learn.
