Personally I wouldn't put them on without headers or HF cats, because you will be very disappointed with the outcome with the OEM cats.

Is that because they are so restricted inside that it doesn't really matter what's downstream? I saw an old thread where somebody ur the ZL1 cat one and it is really restrictive to air flow.

Not true, they sound amazing!!!!!!! I have had them on for about 4 months now. I pretty much keep them open all the time! I have NO regret and they sure turn heads. People want to know what the heck all my mods are. All I have is noweeds and rotofab.

Car finally sounds like it looks - MEAN

You see there's the rub, mine are so loud with HF cats I can't drive with them open all the time. I've heard mine before and after the HF cats, and before they sound around 2X louder than the exhaust normally does.

Here's mine ...

This looks like one fun mode for the stock set up.

I think this is the route for me this sounded really good. Don't want to offend anyone but to me personally i hate the pop that comes with the headers and aftermarket exhausts ive heard on the zl1. This sounds clean and loud and seems to be what I am looking for.

Do you have any additional details as to is there a specific place they are mounted or is it just right after the cats?
