That seems like a really good idea. If I'm the middle man, I'd check to make sure what I'm shipping out thru my company's name is exactly what the customer ordered. I'd do a quick QC, check off the order and out the door. This makes JDP or whomever took the order look equally bad. They should of caught this and stopped it dead in its tracks, sent it back to RX and let them (RX) know its unacceptable. Then call/email the customer and let them know there is/was a small problem and throw in something as an apology, like a company, T-Shirt, that way everyone is HAPPY.

Don't apologize. I mean, just like you, the FIRST thing I always do whenever I am disappointed in a product is jump on the internet and flame the hell out of the vendor. They deserve it. And contacting them privately first and giving them a chance to make it right is sooooo much less satisfying. Nope, gotta go public... gotta go worldwide. Know why? Because it makes me feel really important. And powerful. Both.

And the best part, the part that I really like, is that even if it was an honest mistake and they make it right my flames are still out there and they'll probably lose some business anyway. Which they deserve for having the temerity to send ME a deficient product.

If only everyone lived their lives mistake free like we do, eh OP?

May be my teeth talking here, but it's kinda sad how many people take an honest review with pictures as 'flaming.'

A mistake is putting the wrong bracket in. A mistake is leaving something out. A mistake is a typo on a shipping label.

Painting this crap after 7 weeks and still letting it go out the door is just careless, sloppy, and poor attention to detail. Seems to be a pattern here...

And to everyone who says this has only happened 'lately' with RX must not have Google.

Sorry I took so long to reply, I had to dig my invoice out, the part # from davenport Motorsports is different from the one on elites site but states right on the invoice it's the LS3 can. I could take some pictures from different angles if you'd like to see the brackets and where it was mounted

A quick google search shows that
Oh Matt was talking about RX in that thread.... I didn't know that. =) Really wasn't defending anyone, just stating that IPF does not own any rights to anything lol. I didn't say that, because they are a sponsor they are exempt from negative feedback. I was merely asking why he loves to see threads like these. It's sad really that someone

Whats the going kick back from IPF now anyways...

edit: and I wasn't talking to you. Why do people get ganged rush by the IPF crew around here? Geez.

You don't have to be Team RX or Team IPF. This isn't Twilight. You can simply desire quality products and service from whomever you deal with.

Just because somebody points out a flaw or dozen with one company doesn't make them a fanboy of the other. Just an impartial observer.

Now, when you repeatedly insist that all these customers having a pattern of problems with one company are wrong, even in the face of photo evidence, that DOES make you a fanboy.

Most likely it is a drop shipment.
Meaning JDP never had the part, it was shipped directly from Rx.

But I do agree with you, JDP would be my first call...

It would be nicer to have contacted the seller and or RX BEFORE ranting and raving on a public forum . .

Mistakes happen . . . many items are made "on demand" . . or in batches to achieve the best pricing for the consumer . .

When I dealt with Tracy at RX he corrected the issue immediately.

I never said the customers are wrong, please do not make me out to be as such. I was asking why that member enjoyed seeing customers have negative experiences... Are you even reading what you're replying to?

Sorry OP this is seriously stupid... I hope when you contact Tracy/RX he will make this right.

I can't read. I try to make a reasonable guess based on pictures and smileys.

I've seen and heard nothing but nightmares from folks that went through RX. The people I hang with have quit doing business with them, and have gone else where to get issues resolved the right way.

WORKMANSHIP WHISTLEBLOWER!!

That's what is missing from many products and services. Many consumers are taken for granted. It is good to see when "workmanship" exceeds expectations or when it does not. If we never let a supplier know what we expect or who we share our experiences with ..... well, let me just say....

Protect our Whistleblowers! They keep everybody honest.

This is a product review not a political statement -- Now, JBOTTA, help us connect the dots on this will ya?

Cheers!

I ordered a Rx Catch Can...waited over a month and was told it would be shipping about 3 different times......finally switched my order to an Elite Catch Can. The Elite was at my door within a week. Love the Elite....looks awesome and works great. 2,000 miles of hard driving and my intake is clean as the day I took delivery.
