Well I had to use my Scouting First Response training today.
Unfortunately a young man came off his bicycle and pole-axed himself head first to the pavement and hurt himself quite badly. I assessed him and his head, arm, leg injuries and called an ambulance. He was't quite himself and in a bit of pain. He wanted to get up and go home, but I had to encourage him Not to move.
The paramedic and an Ambulance arrived.
They put him on a board and locked him down and carried him off to hospital, 'just in case'.
I found a safe place for his bike at the local Apple Centre I had just been visiting.
Spoke to him in hospital this afternoon and he is OK but in for observation.
So people, never gawp at the awesome Cyber Grey Deception Camaro with Red Highlights and Icon's of the Primes … and then forget to turn, hit the curb at full speed and launch yourself into the pavement :-(
Bless. Worried. Did my Civil Duty (when no one else stopped).
Not the kind of resulting admiration I want TBH.
