About 370, if lucky 380. My 2010 L99 with a CAI, CAT Back, Vmax TB and Janetty tune was 336 in 88F heat on a Dyno Max.

I can live with those #'s to start my build.

Can someone tell me what the tranny tune actually does?

What I noticed is it firmed up the shifts. Meaning you could really feel it shift.

And I'm gonna say 375-380 HP/ 385-390 tq

62NALIDE pulled 354hp with a brand new 2013 w/dealer tags still on it! Only mod was an ADM CAI and Rhino tune!
Add headers to that you should be 375-385

Add a scoop and Underdrive pulley. Both are very inexpensive and will give you about that much extra.

Some say a ported intake adds a few HP. An UDP would help but its as not cheap compared to porting the intake.

I really don't want to go FI, so I guess I am going to have to start cam searching to bring the HP's up.

I did 369rwhp with all your stuff plus an underdrive, that's over 400 CRANK HP but I don't see 400rwhp happening.

Problem solved. Lol. But I would still do all of the other suggestions in conjunction with the cam. Maybe port the heads as well.

I'm running a small cam now and I'm at 461/424. About to upgrade to a wilder cam. Keep in mind if you go to a wild cam you will need A stall. I also ran my current cam on the stock converter.

Going to talk with Matt about cams when I am there on Saturday.

I thought you just wanted something small to get over 400?

A cam, yes is a no Brainer and will put you well over 400hp. The cost of a cam will be 4x's as much as a Underdrive and a scoop, however the gain will be many times more!

I don't have the ported TB and I got 363rwhp. The day mine was done it was 99 degrees and it was very very humid, so maybe would have got just a little better on a nicer day. My guess you will very close to that.

L99? Is that not factory 400hp? Are we talking 360-370 at the wheels?

Wheels. A stock L99 puts out in the 320-330whp range.

I couldn't get Ted to tell me exactly what he does with his tranny tunes but he firms up the shifts and cuts out a lot of the tq management. Sport mode is also changed up some as well.

I am getting the same headers/cats as you are installed and tuned by Matt as well. I might have to take a ride down there Saturday and check your set up out. Matt told me he would do a before and after pulls on the dyno. I am pretty excited, as you are.

I just re-read your original post, we have identical mods except I have the APEX bottle and scoop.

Texas Speed makes great CAM for the L99 that leaves VVT intact and gives you good low end power.
