Well it took 5 weeks for somebody to hit me

Some girl on Vine street in Philadelphia tried to make a left hand turn from the right hand lane, and the next thing I knew she was right in front of me and rubbed the right corner of my bumper with her left rear quarter. She cut me off with such confidence and grace that I initially thought that it was my fault and that the lane I was in had to go left. Once I got out of the car I saw that was definitely not the case, I called the cops to have the report filed. Needless to say, I am not dropping a cent for this.

It's only cosmetic damage, but it looks like some of the damage may go deeper than paint, so I am going to push for a whole new front bumper cover. I don't want any bondo or BS - I will accept nothing less than perfection.

Later that day, I had a state cop follow me into a parking lot to take pictures and BS about the car.. I told him he could take as many pictures as he wanted, just stay away from the damaged area because it was all muffed up. I told him the story and he said, "Oh my God, you should have killed her."

As far as insurance goes, I don't think it's really up to you what the solution is, hopefully you get a new bumper though.

Here is the "minor" damage to my wife's first 2010. I just got back from Indy with our new 2SS. It could be worse guys, it sounds like your insurance guy is on the ball. With the limited source for parts you may have to wait awhile for the repair.

+1^^ these people are making the Viper look safe.

With all these accidents, the National Insurance rating system will put the camaro in a high risk category.

I know, I hate it but I'm a consultant and my current project requires it. This was the first time I was actually driving in the city with it, not through it, and right before it happened I was telling myself how much I hate the area because people drive like space cadets.

I'm still all new with being a Camaro nut but do most new awesome cars start off with so many accidents? To me it seems like a lot. When are any of the aftermarket companies gonna start making force field generators for the new Camaros?!??! Get going!

Sadly...... There's just too much going on inside cars now days that it's really calling for everyone to be more "defensive".
You bet your ass I'm checking intersection cross-traffic before I pull through.

They should also add to this video a window mounted Navigation distraction.....
a small dogs in the drivers lap and maybe a laptop on the passenger seat..
not to mention eating lunch, spilling coffee, etc...etc...etc...etc...

I have noticed most the cars have been rear ended though. So that may not count againts the Camaro being a unsafe car.

You just need to know how to drive in the city. if people drive badly(speed, run red lights, make illegal u turns than you do it to. the bad thing is that you have to live in the city to know how to drive in the city.

This is a "family friendly" thread. You shouldn't have even put that "friggin frightening" photo anywhere, let alone on this site. Horrible! I can't stop looking at it!
