Engine Power Reduced P0601

Well my car is at the dealer and the following codes have came up [ECM] P0122 [ECM] P0140 [ECM] P0141 [ECM] P0160 [ECM] P0161 [ECM] P0223 [ECM] P0601 [ECM] P2270 [ECM] P2272 [ECM] P0036 [ECM] P0054 [ECM] P0056 [ECM] P0060

They dealer is telling me they do not want to work on it because the car has headers and that P0601 shows that the PCM has been reprogrammed, it has never been programmed before and the headers have been on for 6 months and this is the first problem I have had from what I can tell looks like there is something wrong with the throttle body, can anyone else concur or help me out here and exactly what is P0601 I know it is internal check-sum error but does anyone have the specific diagnostic tree from GM showing how to fix that code or more specifically what exactly it is, any help here is greatly appreciated. Car is a 2011 LS3 with TSP Headers, Borla Exhaust, and CAI intake.

So they are saying that the problem was caused by the tune? Or mods?

Your not far, but unfortunately I'm at work. Who tuned the car bud?

Car is not tuned they are saying I tuned the car and that's why they cant touch it I told them to check the counter on the PCM and he really didn't want to so I called GM corporate they are getting involved, just nonsense really. looks like the TB needs to be replaced for sure but GM will be calling me back tomorrow with more info, I was looking into finding out exactly what the code P0601 means because I'm 99.9% sure it doesn't mean I programmed the PCM which is what I was told

It could be your TB, ECU Or fuel pump bud.

That's what I'm gathering.

You're going to have a VERY tough time trying to get a dealer to do warranty work with no O2 Sensors connected!!!! Tuned or not!!! If you really want to press the issue, remove the headers, put your factory manifolds/cats back on and see if your problems persist. If so....then you can raise hell with the dealership!!!

Why should it even matter though dont they have to prove having the rear O2 sensors disconnected is what is causing the problem

Well, they can't do that if you don't have your factory manifolds/cats installed!!! They can't connect the rear O2 Sensors, to see if the problem goes away, if they don't have a hole to install them in!!! And, in reality, they really don't have to "PROVE" anything to you. It's kind of like the old "you're innocent until proven guilty" thing. It doesn't always work that way, in many cases YOU need to prove your own innocence. In this case, you'd be better off installing your factory manifolds, cats, and O2 sensors and proving to them that wasn't the problem.

Did you really go for 6 months without any CEL lights on the dash with long tube headers installed and NO tune??? That seems impossible...I'm skeptical. Did you install the headers yourself or have them installed by someone else?

There is no way that running with the rear O2s disconnected fried the PCM. I can never understand why dealerships try to push away warranty work because of . It pays the same.

It also leaves a lot of customers displeased... which is even worse.

I would take it to a different dealer.

.... or buy a new PCM, and get it custom tuned since they are denying warranty work anyways.
