Have someone lie under car and guide it in while someone angles it in from top is easiest. It can be done by one person but you have to get it at the correct angle as it doesn't drop straight down.

Definately a trick to it, my 16 year old son can do it by himself on the first try. Which is both great and annoying at the same time. lol

Definitely can be tricky. The last time I had trouble I put my work light under the motor on the concrete pointed upward and bam there was the hole. Just guided it in and some. Not the most conventional route bit its worked twice.

I got it on the first try. What's the problem? there is no trick. You just have to know where it is behind one of the primaries and feel it in. Kinda like your "first time"

Sometimes you need to lick on the hole for a little bit before trying to put the dipstick in.
Wait a minute.....what are you guys talking about?

Its not hard... actually it'll go right back in once you get it started. Just make sure you are starting in the right spot...

lol.....back to the OP. I did it myself and it was not easy. I put the dipstick back in the tube because it is longer than the tube. The amount of the dipstick that extends beyond the tube is really helpful in guiding the tube back in place.

Ya know....no matter how you try and type this....it is damn funny.....

Oh, I also found it helpful to remove the heat shield by the starter but it was a PITA to re-install.

Hope this helps.

You need to first know where the hole is! Take you finger and reach under there and find it! Once you find it circle around the rim of the hole until you get a little wet oil spot on it! Now your ready! But be careful!!! If you try to put your dipstick in too fast you might bump the nipple on the starter and sparks will fly!! Once you get past the nipple, you should be able to slide the tube right in there! Tighten up your nut, then crank it up and get it hot! Not too fast tho Bc you might have an oil leak!! And be sure to pull your dipstick out at the end to check your oil!! Otherwise you may end up with burnt rod!!

Thank You!

More importantly, how did you get the Texas headers? I'm on a list, have been for a while and I'm under the impression they are still on backorder.
