I'm going to be installing Pfadt Tri-Y headers probably next month. Is this where I go for pointers? I heard from a couple people that did it themselves there is so much room so you need something to help hold them up.

id 850s should be required or come with FI set ups. dont skimp on injectors theyre worth it.

By yourself? Yes you'll need to remove the old and slip these in from the bottom and start the threads. Please thread it in correctly.

Yeah.. get yourself a buddy to help for a few minutes. Someone to help guide the old down and the new back up is very helpful. It'll only take a few minutes to swap them out. The rest you should be able to do by yourself.

Go to the DIY section and do a "search this forum" for header install. I think nineball has one in there that has lots of pics. It's really not bad at all if you have some help. You should be able to do it in a couple hours. A lift would be a BIG plus but it's doable on the jack stands.

I just installed a set of Pfadts on Monday. They fit well. Few things the steering shaft has to be collapsed the bolt has to come all the way out to get it to come off. Also the boot may or may not be a problem. Everyone I've talked to said it's made to take the heat. Another person is needed to help guide the stuff in and out. You just can't be in two places at once. Make sure you put some dielectric grease on the plug wires when you put them back on. You will thank me when you hit 100K and do a tune up.

Biggest thing it's going to be LOUD. If you aren't ready for that get a Magnaflow True X muffler to use instead of your H pipe. It mellows it out and deepens the tone. May possibly be too quite for some. Sounds great to me but I'm 40 not 20... lol

I'm guessing this was a reply to my previous post? What's wrong with FIC injectors? I haven't heard anything bad about them, and I've seen a few tuners recommend them.

I'm not an FI guru, but It looks like ID 850s have been used so much, that people are afraid to use anything else.

I just pulled my 3.45 this weekend if you wanna do the swap. I usually keep stock parts but my collection is starting to overtake most of the garage.

Im not even sure. My intention was too ship my extra diff out and have it built, but I couldnt find a good way to ship it, so I had it built locally. I think if I used one of the plastic totes that have the lids that fit into each other, that might work. The diff weighs 70lbs.
