Deep purple footwell & inside door pull lighting

Here are some pictures of my install today. I used 4.8mm wide angle straw hat LEDs with resistors "IL319 Violet" from Microtivity Electronics on amazon.com (about $7 for 30).

I wired the footwell lighting into 4 clusters of 4 LEDs each, 2 clusters per side, all parallel wired. I also soldered a resistor to each LED. They are on a 3-way switch for dome-off-on.

The door pull is a single LED+resistor, wired into the window switch. It has enough spill over to light up the sill when the door is opened.

The purple is too dim to see in the daytime, but it really glows at night. I can't believe how awesome this looks with my gray interior.

Here's a 25 pack for $3.77: http://www.amazon.com/microtivity-IL...tronics+violet

Here's 100 for $7.77: http://www.amazon.com/microtivity-IL...tronics+violet

These are loose parts, so you will have to solder them together. These are flat on top to give the wide angle. If you want a more narrow beam, you should get the rounded top style. They have lots of colors and styles to choose from.

My wiring job:
