Strut tower install

Finally got this on after its been sitting in a corner for almost 9 months, I think it looks great and completes the engine bay area better. Also has a nice contrast with my paint job i recently did

That looks awesome! Have you considered putting a small matte black stripe in the middle of the strut brace to give it a bit of contrast?

I was actually thinking of adding some script text on the strut, either SSydney or something like supersport

It really does pop, and when you catch it at the right angle the purple is so crazy looking.

I cant say its a huge difference, but i will say when i turn corners its a little stiffer then before. However that could be my mind telling me it really is when its doing nothing lol. Id say i feel somewhat of a difference though.

Very Nice Strut Brace. ! ! !

I just put one on my 1LT and
one question bout yours that
differs from mine is the shims or
spacers underneath at the mounting points.
Mine just came with the bolts guess thats the
difference in a V6 vs a V8 engine cover?

Looks great. I have been tossing back and forth the idea of getting one for mine. You're completely right, it finishes the engine bay.

I like the cut-out in the engine cover. Adds depth to a rather ordinary plastic shield...

I assume it took you 9 months because as a 2010, you needed to drill out the holes in the strut towers, yes?

Only reason why i have the adaptor on mine is because any camaro thats a 2010 doesnt have the drilled holes or brackets i think for the strut bar. The 2011 + all have those ready for that part. So anyone looking to add this on will need to by the adaptor which can be purached by TPIS

Thanks! Yeah i love the push and pull it had between the color. Adds lots of depth in the engine bay now

I figured i would try something different with the cover since it hides the plenum cover underneath that i painted. Still wanted it to show through so had to create something different. Im pretty happy with the result.

Only reason it took 9 months is because i was... well im not sure actually lol. I just kept putting it to the side. I guess i had other mods i wanted completed first before anything else done.

Honestly its not that bad to do its just a pain in the ass... if that makes sense lol. You need a spot weld cutter drill bit in order to remove the welds on the bracket on the strut tower that hold the hood up. If you look at the bracket under the hood you'll see 3 spot welds. That piece you remove and the new piece of hardware you get with the adaptor kit gets mounted to the strut, then the strut bar goes on top. Then theres a little piece that bolts on top of that which allows you to re connect the support bar for the hood back. So essentially your hood now will attach to the strut bar since the strut bar is not being bolted into the original weld spots.

Just make sure you have some time because each hole took one full battery charge on the drill because the metal was so thick. Other then that bolting it together was easy, just jack the front up a bit to reach under the wheel wells.
