Okay guys, here is some feedback. Purchased this setup from a local vendor here in Salt Lake on Monday. I installed FatMat on the bottom side of the trunk enclosure before assembly. Assembled the system and ran the cabling on Wednesday. The cabling was the biggest pain due to the tight routing, but not bad. Instructions were a little weak regarding what connectors are to be used for the final setup, but I figured it out. The install time is a little understated at 1 hour, more like two to do it right. Reconnected the center speaker which I had disconnected a year ago in search of better sound.

My first impression is that power is significantly increased. What used to be max volume at 45 is now the same at 30. I am worried about blowing the factory speakers. Bass response is crisp and hits hard. Amazing for a single 10. I was running a subthump box with two tens and a kicker amp at 600 watts and still didn't sound as good as this one. It is a ported fiberglass enclosure that uses a single ten. Very well engineered. On top of that, I am sure I lost 30 lbs. in the trade to this unit from the box.

The system comes with several presets which I played with after zeroing out all of the presets in the radio setup. Since you are replacing the entire amp, you are replacing the factory equalizer essentially so you leave the radio at flat settings and use the controller to define the iSeries amp equalizer settings. Setup the "rock" preset and staged up some of my favorite test jams to see what I got. Impressive to say the least.

The system does not have the "muddy" sound that I couldn't seem to tweak out of the OEM setup. Mids and highs are clear and distinct. I've heard subtle instrument riffs and sounds that I did not know existed in the music before playing them on this setup. As I stated before, the bass is killer and the overall output of the package is outstanding. I would definitely recommend this for those wanting to keep their factory package and yet get better sound.

The vendor I bought it from told me to bring it back after the install and he would throw the PC on it and tweak the crossover and some other settings and help me setup the 6 custom user settings. Of course the systems comes with everything to do it at home, but I thought I would pick their brains since they have setup quite a few of these locally.

I hope that helps you guys!

there is a vendor agreement for the site that vendors must follow. not posting prices is not their choice. it helps keep the site from turning into a spam-filled flea market free-for-all.
