is bucking bad?

when i cruise around in 2nd or 3rd going 20-35mph then let off the gas the car bucks back and forth a tiny bit, is that bad for the car?

Your depriving the motor of gas. I don't no the negative of this, but I can't imagine there's a positive.

It's kind of like "almost stalling"

yeah it doesn't do it in automatic mode, just when im paddle shifting and let off the gas and let it slow down on its own in 2nd or third gear.

Just cruise in the correct gear for your speed and it won't do that.

If you mean bucking like I am thinking, it is hard on all the drive line components, and should be avoided.

Even the stock cam is somewhat aggressive and you will feel some bucking driving in low rpms. M6 guys/gals are quite used to it.

In sport mode the gears hold the higher RPM for longer and make you feel as if the car "bucks" it's not really. It just comes down a little hard at times. Next time you feel this happen, keep an eye on the RPM that it's at just prior. I see mine sitting around 3000-3500 but it only happens when I've been heavy on the gas and let go rather quickly.
