2013 ZL1 Convertible $53,500

Dealer offered $53,500 for my car. I'll throw this up on the forums in the unlikely event that someone would like to buy it at that price. No offers please this is just in case we have an enthusiast who'd like the car. It goes to the dealer on Saturday. Details;

2013 ZL1 Convertible
6M
Blue Ray Metallic
Miles 4,218 and may hit 4,300 by Saturday
Never tracked, no stories, period
$350 Legal tint on all 4 sides including UV on windshield
$800 Clear bra installed on all leading edges and rear quarters
$50 Front rock guards installed
Original tires have less than 1,500 miles as I switched to the replicas. 95% tread with no burn outs, etc.

Options:
Carbon fiber hood insert
Polished Wheels
Suede shifter/wheel

Sticker was $63,315 purchased in March. Anyone looking for a ton of ZL1 parts stay tuned for my for sale thread to follow tomorrow. Again the car will be available until Saturday only. If you're looking for pictures, best to look up some of my posts or google a brand new ZL1 convertible as it will look the same.

Thanks,

Cvp

Can't race a convertible without putting in a bar or cage. I'd convinced myself that I was done racing....sold 3 helmets, jacks, gas cans, racing tires, etc. First year I haven't race in 12 years. I'm dying to get back so the convertible will be going to the dealer on Saturday. Then I'll be on the hunt for a coupe.

I don't think anyone will be able to get it done prior to Saturday, but I appreciate the comments.

Figured no one would be knocking on my door today so I took it to the dealer today at 3pm. We had a nice drive together and said goodbye.

What are you replacing it with? Hopefully it was a spirited drive

Drive was great. Looking at a 2014 Corvette or a CTS-V coupe. Not sure yet. Want to wait for the Vette to hit a few showrooms and hopefully get a test drive. I know they'll be hard to come by but I won't buy one without a test drive.

I'm sure they will be hard to come by and be selling for well over sticker for a while. Why would you not buy without a test drive? It's going to be the best corvette ever made.

I would love a C7 but now that I have a munchkin I need something that carries three people. Ive had three vettes in my life and will get another at some point. The C7 screams cant wait to see what comes of the new z06!

Won't pay over sticker so that will definitely affect the timing. When the CTS-V first came out in 2004 I called 18 dealers nationwide until I found one that would honor GMS pricing. I have a love/hate relationship with the Corvette. No amount of magazine articles or platitudes around best driving corvette ever will be a substitute for real world driving. I almost bought the C6 based on 'best ever' comments in the ragazines. Then I rented one from Hertz to see how I liked it. Well I hated it. Poor visibility due to driving position, really difficult to place in a corner and hit apexes cleanly, snap loose at the limit, poor fit/finish, unsupportive seats, slow paddle shifters, etc, etc. The love part is the power and styling. The car always felt faster than it was and faster than my 300c SRT8 (heavily modified) even though it wasn't. So no I won't buy one without a test drive.
