Beware check the flange size

I recently sent back a set of ceramic coated shorty headers, because the collector was at least a good half inch smaller than my stock SS exhaust.I talked to the manufacturer and they said that dozens were sold this year.Thank God my mechanic gave me a call before they were installed, the engine would be choked.I think I'm going with a set of Borla stainless steel shorty headers.Borla gives the measurments of the pipes and collector, a bit more $'s but never as true as these headers,"You get what you pay for" So friends and enthusits Please be careful.

Yes! ID,I even sent Pacesetter pictures of my stock manifold next to their header collector, all they said was we've sold dozens of these headers. The collector on the Pacesetter was smaller. I put a set of Borla headers on and love 'em.

Care to mention a brand they were? Did they say that the size you got was correct? Also may I ask why shorties? Turbod maybe??? Not a lot of gains on shorties and if your going to get an LT there are better sets.

I went with JBA shorties and HF cats, no issues and I'm happy with them.

Just wondering, if you were going to do shorties and cats, why not just do LT's?

At the time of ordering the car and buying parts my concern was keeping the car smog legal. Where I live it's rural but NYS is a bit of a PITA with things.
