It's cool. A little harsh sounding.

I'll be going with the SLP LoudMouth II

Harsh sounding? NO.

You may be a bit biased for the SLP, but the Magnaflow is a much less aggressive sound than SLP. I had the Loudmouth 2 on my Z28 and I got so sick of the drone on the inside.

I may go with Magnaflow this time....but to each his own.

I have never used any SLP products.

I want to be able to hear my car. And I want a more present, polished sound. The SLP tips are nice too.

Magnaflow are nice, I just have a hard time buying them because they use lower grade stainless steel which means they MAY rust. Has anyone ever had a log term issue with MagnaFlows on one of your older cars? I'd check their warranty on rusting.

Thought they advertise stainless steel?

I have had a full length 4" Magnaflow system on my 2004 Silverado 2500 HD, Duramax diesel, for over 5 years now. No problems, no rust.

Sounds good, just doesn't sound like a Camaro. The tone is hollow sounding; not rich and deep. So far the Loudmouth 2 has the best tone of any I've heard yet.

would like to hear the magnaflow+headers...i liked the slp loudmouth 1 until i heard it coupled to a full exhaust, it was a little too obnoxious...still think the slp powerflo with full exhaust is one of the sickest sounds out there

I never liked the loudmouth 1; thought it was too obnoxious even from their video sample clip. I can imagine how it would sound with full exhaust. It was close between the Powerflo and LM 2 but to me the flo sounded a bit like a muffled LM 1; still some harsh frequencies in there. The LM 2 had the richest, deepest and smoothest tone, and to me sounded best when they got on it in the demo video. And that was through the stock system so go full exhaust I'm guessing it would have more of the deep "lion's roar" kind of sound.

Can't wait for my car to arrive so I can stop guessing and start building!

I have Magnaflow on my 5.4 F-150 and I love it. At about a year and a half old, its actually starting to sound better.

The quality is great, especially the 4 inch tip, still hold an excellent shine after being rubbed with fine steel wool.

hi everyone. the 2ss/rs you see and hear is mine. you really need to hear it in person, it sounds great. i've run alot of different brand exhausts over the years but my last few have all been magnaflow. best quality, fit, finish and sound with really nice performance gains. since these video's were shot we have swapped it out and done it in 3". just so you know, unless your making big power the 2.5" is the way to go. my car is currently at magnacharger for it's blower and tune, will be making close to 600 ponies when i get it back.

Does the competition series have muffers? Or is it muffler delete?

Magan flow traditionally is a quiet exhaust (compared to other catbacks). But a muffler delete would definately make it aggressive (maybe too aggressive with headers).

The system has one muffler about half way back. The street series has three mufflers.
