Tune Question

I read here all the benefits of tuning your car. (provided you are even at that stage asking these questions).

Question is: Most of what I read has to do with transmission mods grabbing most of the benefits with the changes in shift points or time.
I have a manual 6.

Any benefits?
Point me..............
"Hey read this thread moron?"...
"Someone that tunes PM me something?".

umm..."help me obi-wan you're my only hope"
Thank you

The bigger results are with the automatics, but manual due benefit also. Depends on what you have done to improve performance that a tune will help.

Since you have a manual trans I wouldn't even consider a tune until you decide to add LT headers. That's when you will see the most gains.

I have a Trifecta tune, and I believe it helped quite a bit. I have a manual trans. too. Much better performance, car pulls very strong. Also, my exhaust tips are nowhere near as black as before, so it must have compensated for the A/F mixture.

An added benefit, to me anyway, is that if you throw a CEL, you can go in and see what the code is and clear it. Also, you can turn off certain O2, emissions sensors, etc settings through the software. Of course you need the red interface cable, which I bought from a member here.

I caught my tune on sale for about 25% off from BNR. A think it's worth it. See my mods in my sig.

HTH.

I had an IPF tune on my M6 before I put on the IPF S/C and a different tune from them. I was quite satisfied with the results.
