Nitrous Precautions.

I was wondering if someone could explain what you need to look out for in the short/medium/long run when using Nitrous systems.

Are there beginners mistakes where you ruin the car?

I'm considering to get a system, but I've heard they can be taxing or worse to your engine after a while.

Mods/Perf: CAI by CAI Inc, Air Raid throttle body spacer, Vitesse throttle controller, Continental extreme contact tires w 20" ZL1 rep wheels' matte black.

Main things u need to have the ability to monitor and change are timing and AFR. A good tune will allow many many runs.How much do u want to spray?

I was thinking of 50. This is because I would really like Nitrous, but I don't want to wear the engine down too much. It seems to me less spray = less wear over time. Considering the flip side to this coin, idk if 50 more horses would really justify the price of purchace/installment. This will be a DD car as well, forgot to mention.
