Tire Rack No Help at all!

I just purchased a set of Goodyear F1 Supercar tires for my Camaro. 285/35/20 Front 305/35/20 rear from Tire rack standard setup for ZL1 Rims. Well the steering wheel has a bad vibration. I have been on the phone every business day for a week and a half jumping thru every hoop they want, and nothing! HRFB 3 times! Removed all wheels to make sure there are no stud clips. I even brought the wheels to QuikSilver to have them checked to see if the wheels were bent! I am into this thing for over $500 I could have bought a replacement tire for that! Did they even offer to send me out warranty replacements? Nope!
Never again!!! Stick with your local tire guy. At least you can go talk to them face to face if theres a problem!

Have you even bothered to PM Rudy here on the forum? I am guessing not.....give him a shout.....talking to someone you know will usually get better results than from a stranger.

I have been dealing with a customer service person who actually is very nice and seems to genuinely want to help but, I call her, she emails "Hardware support" They email her back she calls me......this happens about twice a day. I dont know Rudy. I should be able to call regular customer service for help. Right? I even offered to ship the wheels and tires to them on my dime to have them try to figure it out......Nothing but crickets!

Did the wheel and tire balance correctly?
If so, would it have a vibration through the steering wheel if it did? I wouldn't think so.

Rudy tracked me down and gave me a call. he told me he was going to do his best to straighten this out for me and to give him a chance. He called me back about an hour later and told me he would replace the front tires and reimburse me for the mounting and balancing ( Which he didn't have to do). I have bought 2 Tire/wheel combos from tirerack and 2 full sets of High performance tires. I have used these guys alot in the past and was surprised when they seemed to blow me off. I was never going to give them my business again. But seeing how Rudy helped me out, I will.

I still want to know why there was a vibration. If a tire was bad, I would think it would have shown up while balancing?

originally it was a Sears service center. They didnt have a Hunter Road Force balance system, So I brought it to 3 different shops. First shop Did alignment and HRFB. Didnt help Then had them HRFB and indexed. Seemed to help a little then got worse again. Then took the car to KwikSilver to have the wheels checked to make sure they were true. them I brought them to a friend of a friends shop who specializes in Custom wheels and tires.

I have heard conflicting things that a Hunter road Force machine could tell if a tire was bad. Some say yes, some say no. And yes the tires balanced out each time.

Check and make sure your rings (hub rings) were put back in. If they weren't (or two were out on the same rim some how) you would get the vibration.
