LED Reverse Light install help

I recently saw a thread where the guy swapped out his stock reverse lights with the high powered LED lights listed below. These high power LED bulbs were wired in a different way.

(Jtech 2 x T10/T15 13W High Power SMD LED Bulb Xenon White Super Bright)

They couldn't just be plugged into the OEM socket. I can't find the thread again and would like help in finding it and/or help with wiring in these LED bulbs. They looked really good and were only $22 bucks from Amazon compared to AAC's $200 reverse lights.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks so much.

Bill

Reverse lights

Thanks for the info. I'm going to go with the projector type LEDs, they look like they really have a high single beam light that is really bright and looks really good!

Did you have to remove the bumper to do this?

I am not sure how good those work but I do have the AAC ones. Got them for $150 or less. They are so bright I literally blind people with my reverse lights.

To me they were worth the price to keep from hitting something at night since the stock ones suck.

ditto. Hence why I'm trying to find the "how to re-attach" portion...no such luck yet.

You can do the bumper yourself, just make sure you snap everything back in place. Just line everything up and push. I've had my rear bumper on and off about 10 times myself. Just make sure you put a cloth or something soft down if you do not have an extra set of hands to prevent road rash on your paint.
