Emergency brake cable tie back?

This question is for those that have had to tie back their SS emergency/parking brake cable because of smaller wheels, etc. What did you tie it back to? Thanks.

I put a small 1/2" long piece of fuel hose (split lengthwise) around the cable just inboard of the factory white plastic "bushing thingy", with a small hose clamp around the fuel hose. Then I pulled the emergency brake cable inward as much as was needed to prevent it from rubbing on the wheel and tightened the clamp down.

Unplug it from the white bushing thingy and tie it to the control arm.
