I got an e-mail from GM Connects saying my vehicle was updated - haven't seen a change yet though. Is this the overnight update I see you reference so often?

To Becky and whom it may concern.....soooo, i was one of the lucky few that had a TPW of 4/16 and it supposedly got pushed back to 4/16 for what people have told me on this site and after watching our status numbers bounching up and down and left and right and what not i finally got sooo frustrated today that i was almost ready to just say screw it and back out of the whole deal..... However, i called my salesman at the dealership to see if theyy could hopefully give me anymore details other than this. He called me back roughly an hour later and informed me that the manager of the dealership called gm and they told him that the gmconnects system is getting flooded with sooo many last minute orders for 2012's and allll the ZL1 orders going crazy at once and is not updating properly and all sorts of other issue......THEN HE WENT ON TO TELL ME THAT THE GENTLEMAN THAT HE SPOKE WITH INFORMED HIM THAT MYYY CAR IS BUILT AND WAITING TO BE SHIPPED!!! iiiddkkk how true this is or what to expect from here...they failed to give me a vin number so my hopes are not soo high until i receive that number which hopefully will be in a day or two... Sssooooooooooooooo idk what to think now..maybe somebody else has some other imput or advice or commentsss...idk. thats my story and was thinking for any others that had a TPW of 4/16 and got pushed back may want to check with their dealership....maayybbeeee they got good news for them as weeellll

So a quick update on my situation. After week of not taking or returning my calls, the dealer who placed the order for me called and made a few off the wall excuses why the order wouldn't be accepted. Of course it had nothing to do with them not having or applying an allocation to the order. So I told him to cancel the order which made him very, very happy. I mentioned the other day that I called a friend at another dealer who wanted to see if they could make this work. They made a bunch of calls and the result is that the regional sales rep said that she would figure out a way to get a new order accepted for me. So a new order was placed today and hopefully I will have the number tomorrow and we can start this process again. Fortunately I only have a couple of days to wait to see if it works this time. If not, 2013 here I come.

I hope that they are able to make it work.
If the regional rep & dealer have an available allocation to place,
it will happen in this cycle, which closes Tues PM.

Well, i stayed up until 3am hoping the status woukd updat after midnight and noooo luck :'( .....so i was like screw this....im going to sleep.. woke up this morning around 9 and stumbled upon thisss......

03/15/2012 (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.

03/15/2012 (1102) Order entered via web.

03/19/2012 (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
