Would this set-up be possible??
I was wondering, do you guys reckon the exhaust set-up shown below, would it be possible? I am trying to take into account things like ground clearance and heat issues...
Also, your opinions and suggestions are most welcome!! Uploaded with ImageShack.com Uploaded with ImageShack.com Lets see what you all have to say!! |

I'll probably offend you

The top one is easily possible, and dependent upon ground clearance obviously, and can be done by any capable shop.
The bottom one... you don't want. While it looks cool, it's freaking hot. You will either have smoke coming into the cabin from various parts burning, or you will burn yourself each and every time you go to exit the car. Ask Viper owners how much they love it. |

I love the bottom one. It's a step up from sidepipes seeing as its enclosed. I just wonder if the exhaust over time would stain the paint on the quarter panel?

The bottom one does look sweet, but it might require cutting through quite a bit of body structure. That is right where the rockers are.

How about a combination of the two? As in we have the exhaust right behind the front set of wheels, but rather than hangin below body works, we have it incorporated into the body work like the second picture where the exhaust is right in front of the rear wheels?
You guys get what I'm saying? And if so, do you thing it would be possible THEN to achieve something of the sort? |

I like the first pic. That's actually something I've been wanting to do to my ride for a while now.

The first pic would look cool, but it wouldn't be practical if you drive in traffic. You'll have exhaust fumes coming up and into the cabin if you have your windows down. And that setup may be legal in Dubai, but I'm betting it wouldn't be in the US.
Your best bet is the second pic, although the exhaust fumes might still be an issue, atleast they are behind you and more likely to stay there. I doubt you'd have a problem with heat, but you would get staining on the painted panels around the outlets. My .02..
