NT555 G2: what size would you recommend for the 1LE?

Not much info on these tires but they look promising. The sizes are not ideal for us, but I'm sure someone smarter than me can make a good recommendation.

I wanted to go with a wider rear since I don't track the car and was hoping to fill more of the rear wheel gap. I am also adding Hotchkis 1" springs.

Here is the list of some sizes for a 20" rim listed on their website:

275/35ZR20 102W XL
275/40ZR20 106W XL
285/30ZR20 99W XL
295/35ZR20 105W XL
295/40ZR20 110W XL
305/30ZR20 103W XL
315/35ZR20 110W XL

Is it as simple as picking a size that fits the 10"/11" rims and try to keep the tire diameter/height as close to the stock tires as possible? How much +/- is considered acceptable?

I don't recall the actual limit. If the difference is greater than "x" amount, you will get a Stabilitrack alarm.

I would say 295 would be as close to original as you will get: 295/35ZR20 105W XL

Although, very likely, they will all work without throwing a code. The new wheels that I'm looking at, the shop says that I can a 315/35ZR20 without any issues.

I have no experience with the Nitto's but I do know that people have run 305/35r20 square with Hankook RS3 v2's in the past. They are 28.5" diameter according to tire rack and the stock 285 Goodyear F1's are 27.9". No idea how that would work with the 1" springs though.

Wonder if the 295/35/20 and 315/35/20 would be a good combo with the 1" springs?

If this is what you want... 275/35/20 is your answer... This combo will be closest to the stock configuration

You could also do 275/40/20 in front and 315/35/20 in the rear... This combo would look the best...

Also, since you are looking into the 555G2s, you might consider the continental extremecontact DWs, they are a better tire, same price range.

if you want the staggered tires, 275/40 & 315/35.
the issue comes from a difference in front to rear diameters, not a difference from stock to new size. your ABS and stabilitrak are monitoring for a delta between wheel rates to kick in.

I'm considering this size combination with the Continental ECDW. I'm concerned about excessive understeer. Can you provide insight?

Unless you are tracking your car, you aren't likely to notice.

Everyone throws about the oversteer/understeer and staggered/square terms, and most everyone only uses their car on the street where it isn't ever going to be an issue under normal driving conditions.

Interesting perspective. Probably true most of the time.

Anyone else provide some firsthand experience with this much stagger in tire size?

Why not the 295/315 setup. Nittos run narrow, so it should fit without a problem....

I'm trying to convince myself to get the Conti Extreme Contact DW. They jump from 275/40-20 right to 315/35-20. So my selection with them is 275/40-20 all 4 corners, or 275 front, 315 back, or 315 square.

This is what I was thinking initially and would prefer. I'm wondering if the difference in tire dimensions would cause any issues with the ABS or stabilitrak. Also wondering if they would work with the 1" springs? I don't see why not but I have no experience in this so I was hoping some smarter people could chime in for me.

Well I do not have a 1le, but I am lowered a inch or so on OEM 1le wheels. I have MPSS tires(they run wide) 285/295 Ferrari spec, and they do not rub.
I ran 275/315 Nittos when I was lowered about 1.5 inches and was fine for daily driving. At 1 inch you should be fine with a 295/315. Top pic is at 1.5 inches and the bottom is at 1 inch....hope this helps......
