Found a bowtie on the ground at work..

Okay so I'm almost positive this wont fit into any other sub forum area on here(hoping I don't get chewed out again for posting in the wrong place). Anyways, I was at work one day and found a Bowtie that must of fallen off someone's beloved Chevy of course.. and so I picked it up and I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with it yet, but I want to make it into something, sand it, buff it.. perhaps plasti dip or paint and turn it into a Key chain...maybe put it on my sub box window so the LED's light it up, or some place else. Anyone with ideas let me know its a little big for a keychain... but I think using it in that term gives you the best idea as to what I'm looking to do with it. Here's a picture of what I found below.. Post up what you think I should do with it! Pretty sure it fell off of a newer Tahoe or pickup truck.

A while back, I found a section (200 sq. inches) of jet cockpit, from an F4 Skyhawk that crashed (pilot survived, in case you were wondering, thanks to a successful ejection). I've been trying to figure out somthing cool to do with that.

F4 Skyhawk? I thought the Skyhawk had an A4 designation, and the F4 was the Phantom.

I would throw it away like I did with the ones I took off my Camaro.. LOL!!

I never really liked the bowtie emblem. Chevy and Ford could use an updated emblem, they have just become boring IMO!! Especially that ugly gold color..

Good catch... indeed, my error. I tried to post like an aviation "expert," and bungled it!

This one was on sort of training mission east of Barstow, CA, when a mechanical failure occurred (around 30 years ago). Pilot ejected, and the Skyhawk's flight terminated in a very rugged lava bed. Takes about 90 minutes of direct and deliberate hiking directly towards the GPS coordinates to get to it. Most of the plane is still on site (too difficult to remove), but we stumbled across the cockpit section about 1/2 mile from the wreckage.

Cool. I was stationed at Edwards AFB a few years ago. IIRC, there's a couple of old wrecks like that around the base that weren't worth the time and effort to recover.
