Dirty Exhaust (HELP!?!?)

I've got the 2013 Manual V6 with the dual NPP and I find I need use aluminum cleaner once every three or so days to keep the outside two tips clean. They seem to turn black very quickly in my opinion.

Is this normal?
Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening?

Installing an oil catch can will help. I can't tell you how much, I put mine on the day they delivered my car, with 2 miles on it. My 4" Magnaflow tips only need to be wiped with a sponge lightly, during my weekly wash to keep clean.

I figured that would be the thing to do...
Can anyone confirm?

I have a CC installed and it helped with this, but I still get a light darkish grey coating on the very edges of my stainless steel Magnaflow tips. When I wipe it off with a white cloth, I see no residue. (very odd)

But like Buschamn I just clean it off while washing the car (which I do 2x a week).

I put my CC on at 6 miles, but my tips are filthy every time I look. It might be that the exhaust is still breaking in. I've had the car for almost 2 years, and I just passed 5k on the odo (I walk to work).

Normal. Get some Adams quick sealant and spray the tips. The dirt will be a lot easier to clean off.

Got an Elite Catch can that is catching a good amout of oil, about .20 oz after 600 miles (All city driving) yet I have to wipe the tips down frequently. I'm a clean freak anyway.

The cars run a bit rich from the factory. Get a tune.

Try this. it's what I use every few weeks, but make sure you use BRONZE wool.

BorlaŽ - Exhaust Cleaner and Polish

All you can do is clean often and make it easier to get off. So try this:
Clean well with barkeepers friend from grocery store
Wipe down with alcohol
Two coats of a polymer sealant like nu finish from the drug store. Coats 6 hours apart.

Or spend 75 and use OPTI coat 2.0 from autogeek.net...that seals it....mine look like this all the time. They get wiped with rinseless wash every week.

Tried the bronze wool, doesn't seem to scratch the aluminum but I need something more than regular aluminum cleaner spray to go with it. I'll try the adams or the borla.
Can you get either in stores?

Can't get Borla in stores. Order from CARid or Autoplicity. Barkeepers Friend (liquid)seems worth a try. It's available everywhere.

+1. May not completely eliminate the buildup, but would def help.

Anyone know of a product I can get locally?

Barkeepers Friend? Has anyone tried that?

Also, I got bronze wool and I think it scratches the aluminum. Am I crazy?
