how to keep Matte black rims looking good

Back with another question.
So I have New matte black rims and would like to hear the best way to keep them looking good.
My stock painted ones, I would take off and wax every 4 or 5 months.

So what do you all use on yours?

I wash them once a week now, but what about protection for them?

Just water and clean towel is all I use i'd hate to risk getting them damaged using any cleaning solutions

I wash with just soap and water, no wheel cleaners for me.
I don't really want shine, just want to protect the finish.

Matte finishes on wheels are not really matte, they are baked satin urethanes.....you can use any polymer sealant on them - the best is what I wrote above

others cheaper that work well are the wolfgang and blackfire sealants, and even Nu Finish at your local CVS. 2 @ coats 12 hours apart. These do not shine the wheel, they protect the finish.

you'd be surprised at where nu finish scores when tested..it just has a heavy dust off....

blackfire wet diamond All finish paint protection will work great for the whole car..

If you don't want to order from the web, beleive it or not, meguires Quick polymer wax is great stuff too, and avail locally....

I just put soapy water in a spray bottle and use a micro fiber cloth to clean mine.
