Wouldn't it have to be certified for the application it is being used on? Just because it is CARB certified on the LS7 wouldn't necessarily mean it would be for other engines. Right?

I am no expert but doing some online research the manufacturer has to specify for which car/engine combinations the part applies to. One executive order will cover that certification. So if they take the time to look up the executive order and GM only specifies it for LS7 applications you may be SOL.

You are probably right.

but... a google search of: "CARB sticker intake" shows stickers with just EO numbers.

I'd think a LEO would probably be satisfied with that level of compliance given its an OEM part (no aftermarket vendor branding).

Also if history is any guide the GM performance parts catalog lists parts as upgrades for the V6s & v8s. Look at the ZL1 brake kits. It's a very expensive part and they went to the trouble to make it available all the way down the line.

So I'm thinking/hoping if it makes it into the catalog, it will be available for the V8s and V6s.

But don't you have emissions testing? Couldn't they take that number and do a search and see if it applies to your car? Just wondering????

Move to Florida? Similar weather and no inspections...

On a serious not I would think a LEO would be good with the sticker. The emissions station might be a different story...

We don't have surprise emissions inspections.

Number search: I'm sure they could but many of the shops are "no pass, no pay". They want you to refer business to them.

Most of the shops hook up the sensors to the tailpipe and run the emissions test. I've never seen them do physical undercar inspection or under the hood for that matter. Granted I've only had "maintained" cars inspected.

Think the aero kit (Fender covers) will fit on the pre refresh 10-13 models? I'd love to get some extra coverage for my big ass 275/315 combo. Plus, they just look mean as hell.

The Z/28 intake is probably the left over bits reused from the forthcoming SS performance intake people have been waiting for since 09' my dealer STILL has the damn poster hanging in the service area lol.

A stock power drivers seat weighs 41lbs. With about 11 of that being the hardware. I highly doubt the Z/28 seats come in at 11lbs even with the removal of the 11lb hardware.
