Question Hood not lined up

Ok, so I removed the metal plate behind the front bumper in order to access the front bowtie emblem (Plasti-Dip YEAH!) and after replacing everything my hood now latches a good 1/2" below the lip of the bumper. I've adjusted the bumper stops to no avail, what else am I missing here?

I want to say I read another thread saying there are screws that set the gap for the hood. Not sure if they're the same holding the plate. If they are, maybe you just threaded them too deep and need to adjust.

So the 4, I think it's 4, hex ones need to be loosened up in order to set the correct height?

Just went out and adjusted again, loosened all 4 of the socket bolts, and the 2 hex ones, and with them all completely loose the hood was nearly perfectly flush. After tightening them all back down to just hand tight then a 1/4 turn past the hood now sits about 1mm lower than flush... da hell?

Only adjust the star screws. I believe the the bolts are 10mm. Tightn and leave them. The star screws adjust the front piece. Loosening them will bring it down, tightening them will raise it. If you adjusted the rubber hood stops, you may have to readjust them as well.

Yeah... the Torx-head screws raise and lower the top of the fascia. Bumpers should be for minor fine adjustments everything else should be tightened right down.
