My arm will clear a CAN of soda... or pop... or soda pop... if it's in the front holder, since it's lower. I also found that if I have a 20oz bottle of something (with cap firmly in place), I can prop it against the passenger side of the center console using the handle that adjusts the front/back movement of the passenger seat to hold it in place. Still easily reachable from the driver seat and stays put pretty well. If it were to ever come loose during a sudden move it would just roll around on the passenger floor and not get into the pedals. That's why I never put it on the driver side. Other than that, yeah, I make the wife hold the drinks.

When I had my Solstice GXP, owners complained about the cupholders too.

When cupholders are the biggest complaint, the car maker did something right.

And when it's an inconvenience to have a cup of something and drive, pull over and drink the damn drink. That's just common sense. And yes, my fluid intake is actually greater than yours, thanks for asking, lol

I have two complaints and one, the trunk space I was aware of. So you are right; GM did a great job. I'll take my big gulp and manuever my arm around the stinking drink and be merry hahaha.

No big deal once I got used to it. I have a water bottle in the front drink holder all the time because I keep change in the other cup holder. I don't even notice the drink being in the way. Give it some time and I bet you all will get used to it too. I've had my SS since 2009 and it took a good year to get used to it.

...yes!, I get your point...I was a young kid when I heard someone from another geographic area other than mine refer to "soda"<which we call it here>, to "pop" as they knew it. That was my first introduction to differences between our States. . The ignorance of youth.....<and a lifetime of growing to understand sprouted from that simple seed>.

Haven't you seen the commercials where they say "Drinking and driving don't mix"?
