We just don't want to be seen as endorsing any illegal racing.

It's just a choice our site has made. We'd rather not support it.

Can I say, "I was engaging in street time trials next to a mustang who was also just coicidentally timing his car."

I think this is a very pruudent polcy for this or any forum. Street racing isn't the stop light grand prix, many of us fondly remember. THere is a whole sub culture based around big bucks and very risky activities.

The situation around the Chicago Metorpolitan area is very tragic. Several people are killed both "Racers" and innocent bystanders by this silly and dangerous activity. One of the local station did a story on it a couple of years ago.

It was rather troubling.

If you want to do serious racing, take it to the track. The only person at risk will be yourself.

not to mention, its not the website that should be worried, its those that post the stories. a few guys on my local forum have screwed up and posted stuff online after a night of street racing only to get arrested a day or two later with printouts from the site with their posts about street racing and "avoiding" the cops

Leave the street racing stories to the F&F kiddies. We're adults here. We go to the track.

You got a mouse in your pocket or something?..j/k..."We're adults...we go to the track"

I guarantee out of the 12,000 members on this forum there's a good chunk that has or will do some form of a street race or drive above say......80, 90, 100mph which is way above the limit of any road in America. Even if it's done one time, that's all it takes.

I think it's just because it's the wrong forum right?

I don't think there is a road race ban in either the general or other cars. Correct me if wrong.

When I am finally driving around in my long awaited SS and a teenager pulls up next to me and revs the engine, I am going to spank his ass when the light turns green.

They have a pretty good "kill stories" forum over at LS2GTO.com (its only viewed by members). So you won't find it if you're not registered. But they have all kinds of street stories over there (Camaro, 350Z, Vettes, Cobra's, etc.)

There's also a big difference between those lil rice crispy treats trying to break the 90mph mark on a 1/4 mile residential street and somebody going on a joy ride in the middle of the desert somewhere driving their 2010 camaro to test its top speed.

Rice Crispy Treat

yes, but how hard is it to register on this site? who knows who all the thousands of members that we have registered on here are in real life. one of our mods is a cop. and nearly half of our members dont have a single post. they could be just bs screen names for people scouring the forums waiting for someone to post some incriminating info.

then again, I might just be going crazy....
