Install and testing of the Vmax ICEOlater and ported Throttle body

We started with the LLT go kit consisting of the Vmax ported LLT throttle body and the Black ICEOlator. We didn't use the top spacer for our test. We just bolted on the ICEOlator and throttle body. The kit comes with instructions, but Ill post them in this thread.

ICEOlator in place and it stays there pretty natural while your adding silicon to the manifold.

Now was the best time to add the ported vmax throttle body

having two sets of hand on the manifold made it easier to set on top of the block and lining up the bolts

Start to reconnect the hoses

LLT DIY install of ICEOlator and throttle body

you can see in the 3300 -5500 RPMS zone where timing didn't drop off in run 4 like it did in run 2 causing less power.

Drove car after and you can tell a large difference around the 3200-4500 rpm range where we saw the biggest improvement

Very nice to see another good test of the TB and spacer on the LLT. This is a very good bang for your buck product!

I will have to verify and have her run some numbers but she said she thought she was getting better gas mileage as well?

Question, what would happen if we milled 3/8 off the bottom of the IM and the ported the intake to the i cel a tor, and the used the IM plenum spacer?

Why the father away from the block the better. Don't want to heat sink the IM! I Just ported the ports to match the ICO lator

I guess you can do that mill 3/8" off the intake, but A) that's a lot of effort and takes away the bang for the buck, B) with the ICEOlator you have a little longer runner combined with the reduced heat soak.

If time is on your side, Match porting will help, but I just wanted to test the way most guy do their install.

Id say its from applying less throttle to move the car. With less heat soak, it can use more timing for better efficiency.
