That's about the coolest cover I've ever seen, however I wouldn't cover my car. I drive it too much.

I like the looks of it. Is it for outdoors?

My questions would be on the durability and the softness/non-scratching material where it would be contacting, rubbing, flapping against the body panels. If the answer is it's durable, breathable, and totally non-scratching and the manufacturer stood behind those claims, I'd buy one.

Well hopefully nobody that keeps their car outside would buy it. Unless they like having bare metal in certain areas. And nothing but swirls everywhere on the car.

I am OCD to the max. I wipe my car down every day. I am looking for a cover during winter months While it sits in the garage. By the way what is the target price for the cover?

Its a CC cover it was around three something I use it for storage during the winter months however its water proof water runs off it. Plus they say its UV resistant to fading. this Post was to feel out if a cover with the above logos made by Gm would sell. PERIOD ! I can't make any more like this either ( copy right laws ). this was a one off made for myself after jumping though the said hoops and getting GM's permission.

I only have a one car garage and the wives Jag parks in there. I use a cover for the Camaro anytime I suspect rain. The GM cover fits pretty good but needs stronger elastic. Your cover looks ok, too much writing on the outside of it though. At first it looked to be too short, but your explanation that it was not down all the way cleared that up. The wind will lift it off if it is not tight around the bottom. Those that say the paint gets scratched have never used a cover and base their opinion on conjecture and hearsay from others. If you keep your car clean and your cover clean your good. I don't think GM would be able to sell very many though. I don't think many would go for all the writing. Just my opinion.

I like it, if I didn't already have a cover I'd consider it.

well - it HAS been discussed.

However - wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back when - we offered limited edition models with a free car cover...........

Turned into a nightmare.

How does one ensure that the first purchaser actually GETS the car cover?

Well - you could put it in the trunk at the factory - but they tend to 'disappear' in transit and at the dealership........
(and that's not a 'shot' at dealerships - there is a small percentage of the public at large that will 'lift' anything that isn't bolted or nailed down -- and dealers have stuff pilfered by the public with regularity...)

You could 'mail' it to the first purchaser - however, I invite you to the various threads that address "Where's my ZL1 Certificate"....to see how that's turned out.....

You could mail it to the dealer for presentation to the customer.....but there's no guarantee that it gets to the customer........

And - there are those who may not ever want one -and would rather that we spend the funding on a car cover by giving you another feature --

So - while it appears to be a GREAT idea - the actual execution is a sure-fire way to upset our customers

Having spent any amount of time on these forums, one quickly learns that upsetting customers is almost completely unavoidable.

The GM cover , while it looks cool and fits great, sucks at keeping the car dry . I rolled up a towel to keep the rain from pooling on my decklid's RS spoiler, and the towel was soaked . I bought a weathershield HP from California Car Cover, while expensive,it keeps the car completely dry and clean. My paint is as smooth as a baby's bottom. Not bad for a car kept outside execept for winter months.

That's what cover mine is also. I just thought that the Gm cover could have looked a lot nicer (like mine). I agree with Scott about the free idea that's a TUFFY I can see exactly how and why they could end up missing. again thanks everyone for voting. The idea here was to see how many liked my design.

I like the design, only I would want yellow where the red is. It would have to provide protection against snow since I have 1 more winter in michigan.
