Sure it does. Just like z24 means 2 door/4 cylinder and z71 means 7 door/1 cylinder.

You heard that because some people thought GMs TTV6 was going to be a mythical beast that put out 800 hp and 50 MPG when in reality it turned out to be basically an LS3 but with two turbos instead of the other two cylinders.
