So far, no one has been willing to keep us updated. :(

Close/Delete Thread

It is apparent that the person is not coming here anymore, even though like the other tuner, Lin, they have posts in the V8 thread as soon as last month. This remaining open is almost practically false advertising/hope. This really is prob not coming out...

this is how i see it..

1ls = 24k out the door.

plus 6k

30k? you save 6 grand. cheaper insurance and gas. and same speed. just buy a 2LT. and change the hood and front bumper

Yeah if I added turbo to mine it would take the price to 2SS territory. Question is: do I want a V8 or a V6 sleeper? The sleeper appeals to me though . I love my V6 and have no problem investing in it over time and will feel a lot more satisfied getting 400 HP out of it than buying a V8 ready to go.

STS already has a turbo for close to 6k so you would definately have to beat their prices. I would be interested if the price is right but if not then ill save for a SS...2011 2SS starts at around 34k/1SS around 30k and the v6 is not going to have as much torque as the v8 and your not gonna sound near as good. The way I see it im not keeping my v6 forever but im going to move up to the SS and just mod it over the years.

had a tour of their facility this afternoon and asked if anything was happening on this....sorry to advise it's not a priority for them at the moment, I was told they are too busy doing work on the V8's and looks like us V6'ers will have to wait longer :( or go with STS.

The problem is the cost associated with a good twin kit. If I used the smallest option on our current V8 Kit (GT3076R's) the turbos ALONE are $3400 and then another $350 for the Tial V-band Housings. $3900 by the time I ship them to me for a pair of turbos:

http://store.forcedperformance.net/m..._Code=Turbo-FP

The only way I could see it getting down to the $6k range would be if it is a single turbo or rear-mount kit. I am not a big rear-mount fan personally and we can do a single but I prefer twins on a lower boost application.

The next issue is the availability of tuning options for the V6.

A kit is worth considering IMO but not if the price-point dictates we are throwing a collection of inferior parts together which doesn't work well for anybody.

Jeff, good to see you over here in V6 land. Hypothetically, if you were to build a kit for the V6, would you use the same mid-mount setup you do for the V8s? Sent you an unrelated PM too a while back.

Yes. We have been very happy with the results on the SS thus far so we would try to keep the kits as similar as possible in terms of lay-out -- just with MUCH cheaper turbos

This is not a solicitation to sell these kits or take orders. However, if I were to answer the question on price, I would say that we would target to sell the kit for under $6,000.

We are simply trying to see how much interest there would be for something like this. I am sure there are going to be a lot of questions and suggestions. I appologize in advance if I am not able to respond to everyone, but I will try to answer as much as I can.

One of the first questions is, why single and not twin? Answer: Cost. We can make the power with a single turbo and keep the cost down.

Hey, i'm 16 and i own a 2010 camaro v6 2lt rs. With only a budget of my own money being around $1300, iv already been looking for AIs, exhausts and even a sick pair of headers. Seeing that a purchase of under $6000 can possibly have an outcome of a 150 hp gain, its easy to say that this buy seems worth it. Being a great deal of money away, it would be hard to obtain this upgrade however, the rest of your consumers may have that $6000 to spend, making ur income quite profitable.
I dont know much about turbos, but knowing that i can achieve such hp gain with that much money, i would be the one to buy it.

The Buick GN and GNX of the 80's had a single turbo on a V-6 and were quick and fast from the factory. I would love to see a turbo kit for the LLT and for around 6K that would be a good bang for the buck.

There is a shop in St. Pete Florida, Pete Shop Motor Co., they are offering a rear mount for $4995. Single turbo, about 7 psi. It is still being tuned and dyno'd, but they are anticipating 415rwhp to 425rwhp...

procharger just broke the ice for the new v6 mustang. Mustang has always been performance oriented from the beginning with lots of factory backing. Other big name company jumping on the FI bandwagon for v6 mustang wont be nothing surprising.
What surprise me is that procharger took the bait already but I guess peoples seen it coming with so much tuning available already.

Im jealous lol
