Gfx on my 1le

So my dealer installed this kit on my car and the more I read about my 1le the more I am tempted to strip her down and put her back to her stock form. Does anyone know what's under the front chin spoiler on the gfx kit? Is my 1le splitter under there or will I need to buy a new one?

You would need to get the factory side skirts, the 1le splitter, and I believe the rear lower fascia. Not sure how the rear kit was put on either bolted or taped.

I am not sure if it was taped or screwed on either. I want to pull it off but kinda afraid as to what I will be getting into once I do....

I saw a 1le at my dealer with the ground effects and it was shipped with no splitter and the side where not on the car, so you should be able to pull those off and pop in the new ones with no issue.

That is how mine was shipped with the gfx kit that the dealer installed once they got the car. At least that's what they told me when I called to ask about the original parts.

If the ground effects kit is on the window sticker then that is the way the dealer ordered it, so then you do not have the NPP exhaust. The factory leaves the original side skirts off when the ground effects kit is ordered.

Exactly. I am wanting to run the NPP or an aftermarket corsa dual tip exhaust. But I can't do that with the gfx kit installed.

The 1LE cannot be ordered with gfx. The dealer has the original sides and splitter. Or sold them off. Either way, technically they owe them to you.

Interesting OP. Let us know what happens with the dealer. If you get the gfx off you can sell them. If you are switching out the rockers and diffuser anyway, you can pick up the ZL1 parts pretty cheap, but then you will need quad tips. Along with the 1LE splitter this is a nice combo.

But, if all this does not work out for you, your 1LE is still full of 1LE goodness and will run with the rest of them. And you will have a very unique 1LE. Don't listen to the haters. Enjoy your new car. It is very special.

Unfortunately the 1le can be ordered with the gfx package cause it is on my window sticker and on my build sheet.

I am hoping to get enough out of my gfx kit to break even on my stock replacements.... Hopefully....

Take a quick look around the forums and try the search button because a few members have ran duals on their gfx. It looks reallllllllllly good too. I think Apex has the right tips for it.

The gfx kit is a factory order item which comes to the dealer separate of the car and the dealer installs it. The top of the rear fascia is held on with, basically, double sided sticky tape and the bottom is bolted in place. The front, I’m told, goes over the existing splitter. I don’t know for fact about the front but my rear is being replaced under warranty because it was installed incorrectly by the dealer and is cracking on the corner where it hooks into the wheel well on the passenger side.

Dual tips “should” be able to be put in there but I would think if they are tight you’ll end up with rattles and warpage/heat damage to the fascia. I’m looking at pulling ss(Stainless Steel) boxes off of mine, TIG’ing on an overlap type deal on the back and making it so the exhaust pipe basically fits inside the ss box at the rear. That way the pipe/box never touch, and the box looks like one large ss exit without the stupid look of someone pounded the round peg into the square hole.

As far as the dealer “owing” someone parts to replace the $2500 parts they ordered is crazy. Even Wal-mart would look at you sideways on that one. I’m glad I’m not your dealer…
