Best tires for STOCK SS wheels?
I've got a mildly modded 2012 SS, and the stock Pirellis just aren't cutting it anymore.
What's the best AGGRESSIVE STREET tire combination I can go with on the STOCK WHEELS? Right now I'm thinking Michelin Pilot Super Sport or BFGoodrich Rival in a 265/35/20 and 285/35/20. I can program the speedometer difference, so that's not an issue in tire sizes. Any personal experience is taken far more serious than just spewing stuff they've heard from a friend's friend's cousin. THANK YOU for your time! |

So I've pretty much decided on the Super Sports in a 255/40/20 and a 285/35/20. Anyone else ever run this setup?

Was looking at the Rivals as well. They seem like good value, but the W rating is not ideal.
Having the SS's on the silver state car I can say they are fantastic. Drove them on a friends GTR as well. They are a huge step up over the Pirellis in my opinion. Hopefully somebody has tried the Rivals...

I decided this also. I just got my 285/35-20 michelin pss on the back and i am saving up for the ones in the front. Im not sure if these pss have a break in period or not but they hook up a lot better. Ive only put about 30 miles on them so far but very happy

Personally, I think the BFG sport comp 2's are the best on stock wheels. Super grip, an inch wider tread, and excellent wear
