Covert Hutto vs Classic Grapevine ...?

Ok, so I have an order placed with Eric@ Classic. I just found a place locally (I couldn't before) that sells at MSRP, in COVERT HUTTO. I can get my car up to a month EARLIER!! I called and have dibbs on the LAST allocation they have left. Has anyone heard anything about this dealership? feedback? reviews?

Here's a negative: I haven't put down a deposit yet with eric, and covert hutto requires a 1000$ non-refundable deposit (unless your car is not delivered to spec). But I was wondering that if I can't get financing, I would also lose my deposit? That would be messed up. I have good credit (about 730), but I have never bought a new car and really have no idea what to expect from the loan companies. I'm afraid to start looking because I don't want to have a bunch of inquiries by the time the car gets here because it may hurt my chances...

2ss sooner....is it worth the risk...?

How long ago did you order with Eric? Who told you that you can get it 1 month earlier?

I ordered from eric on 6/8. He told me it would probably get picked up for production mid-late august. 8-10 weeks from there, thus, october. But at COVERT HUTTO there is no one in line, mine will get picked up for production asap. thus, 8-10 weeks from now.

I would probably go ahead and switch it over as long as they're giving you MSRP. Why not? You should be able to get funding, the interest rate is the only part that might get you. As long as they're willing to let you out of the deposit if anything is wrong with the car I would take the deal and go with it.

Eric has been proven as reliable, and hasn't had any last minute "add ons".

As I said over a year ago - buy from someone you TRUST

Listen, what I'm saying is that at Classic in Grapevine, there is a WAIT. A line, a queue, a list of people that have ordered their cars before mine. According to what my salesman there said, they won't even get to my order before mid-late August.

New dealership, Covert Hutto, has NO line, my car will be picked up for production ASAP. Normal build and shipment of cars is generally 8-10 weeks. That is a 1 month difference from my first order's eta.

BTW, I called the dealership and they said that if I failed for financing, then they DO NOT hold that against you, and would then refund your money.

i'd wait and go with classic... I was told mine would come in at the end of year by them, but it looks like i may get it in august. also, classic is proven with an excellent track record.. i dont mind the wait either because it allows them time to fix anything that the earlier builds were having trouble with. just my thought.

I ordered from Classic in November. Got a call from my salesman last night (not Eric) and my car is "IN TEXAS SOMEWHERE" and will get to Classic next week. This is my 5th car to buy from Classibc and they have been nothing but great including a problem used jeep they bought back from me for full sale price years ago. I highly recommend them. BUT I can also understand wanting your car sooner. The wait is a killer.

BTW, I grew up in Irving, lived in Watauga for 7 years but had to get away from all the people and now LOVE Midlothian.
